I’ve been trying to organise an interview with Dr. Robert Mitchell, AKA ‘The Doc’ for a couple of months now and I’m so happy to finally have him on for a chat! Doc has been in the sport for a very long time, and has been the Head Coach of the highly prestigious Burwood Weightlifting Club.
The Burwood Weightlifting Club has been around since 1967 and is one of the oldest clubs still running in Australia! (Although Doc moved the club in 2016 due to Burwood PCYC shutting down).
In this episode we talk about all things weightlifting. How Doc got into the sport through powerlifting, how he ended up Burwood Weightlifting, how he fell into coaching and how he’s been involved in the sport since.
Thanks Doc for joining me this week!
