Starting Olympic Weightlifting without a Coach (what should you focus on?)
Starting in the sport of weightlifting can be an intimidating prospect, especially as we arrive at the sport at older ages.
How you begin training should be dictated by your previous training history and your movement literacy.
If you have a high degree of strength (powerlifting) but need to work on the basic positions you need to attack that. High frequency is your friend.
On the other side if you come from a crossfit or gymnastics background you may have had experiences with a greater variety of movements. The basic positions involved in weightlifting may not be as challenging for you. Your approach should be more qualitative.
